Here are the books and links that I have found helpful in understanding fibromyalgia and how to get started on the guaifenesin treatment.

Dr. St. Amand and Claudia’s book is necessary for you to get started on the guai treatment It is best if you own the book as you will need to refer to it quite a bit when first starting.  If you don’t have the means to purchase it, at this time, check your library and your inter-library loan services.  That’s where I first found the book.  The revised and updated book came out in January 2006.

"Revised and Updated What Your Doctor May NOT Tell You About Fibromyalgia"

by R. Paul St. Amand, M.D., and Claudia Craig Marek

If you don’t have someone, in your area, that can map the progress you are making, you may want to get the following to help you understand about the importance of mapping muscles when on the protocol.  These can be purchased at the fibromyalgiatreatment.com website:

"The Guaifenesin Protocol DVD"
This DVD is a duplicate of the videotape, including the mapping demonstration.

"The Guaifenesin Protocol Videotape"
The Diagnosis and Treatment of Fibromyalgia & Hypoglycemia, Including the Mapping Demonstration

length: 75 minutes

by R. Paul St. Amand, M.D., and Claudia Craig Marek

"The Mapping Demonstration Videotape"

length: 15 minutes

by R. Paul St. Amand, M.D.

Books

Other books that are good but not necessary to get you started:

"What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Fibromyalgia Fatigue"

by R. Paul St. Amand, M.D., and Claudia Craig Marek

"The First Year--Fibromyalgia: An Essential Guide for the Newly Diagnosed"

(The First Year Series)

by Claudia Craig Marek
