My Guaifenesin Protocol Journal...

is a compilation of my thoughts while on the guaifenesin treatment.  The first year is quite explicit as far as the symptoms I experienced because I was trying to figure out my dosage and my cycling process. (I had no local doctor who had any knowledge about the guaifenesin treatment to help me, besides emailing Dr. St. Amand and Claudia)  After figuring out my guai dose, I began to just record when I needed to vent or just talk to my diary….

I don’t mean to offend anyone by referring to God in my journal.  I’ve had a personal relationship with God since I was very young.  He is Lord of my life and a very vital part of my daily living.  It is impossible for me to separate Him from my thoughts, especially when I’m sharing my deepest feelings, impressions, meditations and lessons learned.  It's impossible to not discuss my best Friend. He is Someone who is and has been my Rock when I'm tired and confused. My Shade and Refreshment during the depressing and dreary times. He's the Sanctuary I seek to shelter me from the storms that threaten to overwhelm. His unconditional love for, me no matter how I feel, gives me strength to deal with the guilt, anger, self-pity and rebellious feelings. 

Please know that my intention is not to push my religion on anyone.  I merely want to share my experience with the guaifenesin protocol.  My wish is that by sharing this journal with you, it will educate and prepare those of you who are thinking of starting the treatment and desire to know what’s in store for you.  I realize there are some who don’t want to know what’s ahead and prefer just jumping in, like my daughter.  I, on the other hand, wanted to know….:o)  For those of you already on the protocol, I hope that you will find some encouragement and comfort knowing you aren’t alone in what you’re experiencing!
